Fort McNair Club

Ft. McNairClub has much to offer for any and all occasions. Located on the Potomac River water front, this historic building is the premier setting for hosting any event or enjoying family time!

The Ft. McNair  Club is an unparalleled venue capable of holding large groups and event performances. We are proud to be the exclusive caterer for the Ft. McNair military installation and would love to speak to you regarding your next event!

A lovely venue?- both indoors and out- ?with plenty of different spaces of varying sizes to suit any event, not only is the Ft. McNairClub very popular for weddings but it is also wonderful for other parties and social functions. We have space for a wide variety of events including wedding ceremonies, receptions, military ceremonies, seminars, lectures, board meetings, conferences, fundraisers and holiday parties.

Whether formal or informal, cocktail party or black-tie dinner, large or small, we can help make your event memorable. We also provide gallery and banquet space to host daytime military retirement, commissioning and re-enlistment ceremonies

Don’t forget that our front lawn is ideal for breath taking photos for weddings or engagements!


On Fridays we are open for a lunch buffet from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. offering a full salad bar, soup of the day, and southern-style food. Please note that all menus are subject to change.

The Dining Room can also be booked for special events after 4:00 p.m. any Monday through Friday and all day Saturday. The room can comfortably accommodate approximately 60 guests for a sit down meal and approximately 120 for a standing reception.


This beautiful room is quaint and cozy with a stunning view of the Potomac River. This room can be booked for cocktail parties, meetings, luncheons, retirements, or for any special occasion. The McNair Room can comfortably accommodate 25-50 guests for a sit down service and approximately 75-100 for a standing reception


The newly renovated Crystal Ballroom, named for its chandeliers, offers a spectacular view of the Potomac and as well as overlooking the National War College. This room is perfect for formal occasions like weddings, anniversary and birthday parties, dinner services, and other events that require a special touch of elegance. The Crystal Ballroom can comfortably accommodate approximately 180 guests for a sit down/served meal, approximately 160 guests for a sit down/buffet meal.


Our picnic grounds can host outdoor fun for any occasion such as office picnics, organization days, or outdoor team building! The grounds can hold approximately 200 guests. We are able to provide water for dunk tanks, volleyball net, horseshoe pits, and a playground for children.

Dress Code:

Appropriate neat casual attire (excluding jeans) or authorized uniforms may be worn in the Clubs during the day. The Main Dining Room requires a coat and tie or turtleneck for men and comparable attire for women during our dinner on Saturdays (no jeans). For other nights and Sunday Brunch, a coat and tie is not required (no jeans). Casual attire may be worn in all lounges and cafes. Tank tops, t-shirts, halter tops, cut off shorts, swim wear, athletic wear, and rubber pool shoes are unauthorized. Management has the right to use its discretion on any deviation to these dress standards. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration for all members.
